Terms & Conditions

(Applicable for 2026 Tours)

By booking a trip with WILD HORIZONS AFRICA TRAVEL LTD. (“we,” “us,” “the Tour Operator”), you (“you,” “the traveler”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read carefully before confirming your booking.

1. Booking & Payments

Your booking is confirmed once we receive your deposit and issue a written confirmation.
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total trip cost is required at the time of booking.
Final payment is due 60 days before departure. Bookings made within 60 days of departure require full payment at booking.
We will only proceed with full confirmation of services once we have received your international flight booking details.

2. Pricing & Availability

Prices are based on current availability and may change until your booking is confirmed.
Early booking increases the likelihood of securing your preferred itinerary and rates.
In rare cases, we may adjust the itinerary order or substitute accommodations with similar quality if necessary.

3. Cancellations by You

60+ days before departure: Deposit held as credit toward a future trip (no expiry).
59–30 days before departure: Deposit held as credit + 50% refund of remaining balance.
Less than 30 days before departure: Deposit held as credit, no refund of remaining balance.

4. Cancellations by Us

If we must cancel a trip for reasons beyond our control (e.g., safety, political issues, natural disasters), you will be offered:

A substitute trip of equal or greater value, OR
A trip of lesser value with a refund of the difference, OR
A full refund of all payments made.

We are not responsible for non-refundable expenses such as flights, visas, or vaccinations.

5. Travel Insurance

Mandatory: Comprehensive travel insurance with a minimum medical, evacuation, and repatriation coverage of USD $200,000.
We strongly recommend coverage for trip cancellation, delay, lost luggage, and personal belongings.

6. Health & Fitness

You must be fit to travel and participate in the activities in your itinerary.
Any medical conditions, allergies, or mobility concerns must be disclosed at booking.
Some destinations may be remote with limited medical facilities.

7. Special Requests

Dietary needs and special requests should be made at booking. We will try to accommodate but cannot guarantee availability in all locations.

8. Travel Documents

A valid passport (minimum 6 months validity from return date) is required.
You are responsible for obtaining visas, permits, vaccinations, and any other required travel documents.

9. Flexibility & Itinerary Changes

Adventure travel may require flexibility. Routes, accommodations, transportation, and activities may change due to weather, safety, or operational needs. No refunds are given for unused services.

10. Liability

WILD HORIZONS AFRICA TRAVEL LTD. works with trusted third-party suppliers (e.g., hotels, transport providers, activity operators). We are not responsible for their acts, omissions, or service quality.
We are not liable for loss, injury, damage, delay, or death resulting from acts of God, natural disasters, strikes, political events, accidents, or other events beyond our control.
Participation in optional activities is at your own risk and subject to the terms of the activity provider.

11. Code of Conduct

We reserve the right to remove any traveler from a trip (at their own expense) whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, illegal, or negatively impacts the experience of others.

12. Photography & Marketing

By joining a Wild Horizons Africa tour, you grant us permission to use photos or videos taken during the trip for promotional purposes, unless you request otherwise in writing before departure.

13. Privacy

We only collect personal information needed to deliver your trip. Your information will be shared only with service providers necessary to operate your tour and will not be sold or shared for unrelated purposes.
