How do I apply for eTa (Electronic Travel Authorization)?
Travelers planning to visit Kenya can apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) online. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to apply:
-
Visit the Official Website: Go to the official Kenya eVisa website (https://etakenya.go.ke/draft).
-
Create an Account: Click on the “Register” or “Create Account” option to start your application. You’ll need to provide a valid email address and create a password.
-
Select eTA Type: Choose the type of eVisa you need. For tourism purposes, select the appropriate tourist visa category.
-
Fill Out the Application Form: Complete the online application form with your personal details, passport information, and travel plans. Be sure to provide accurate information as it will be used to process your eTA.
-
Upload Required Documents: You may be required to upload documents such as:
-
A scanned copy of your passport (the bio-data page).
-
A passport-sized photo.
-
Any other relevant documents based on your travel purpose.
-
-
Pay the Fee: After completing the application form and uploading the necessary documents, you will need to pay the eTA processing fee. This can typically be done using a credit or debit card.
-
Submit Your Application: Review your application to ensure all information is correct, then submit it for processing.
-
Receive Your eTA: Once your application is approved, you will receive your eTA via email. It is advisable to print a copy of the eTA to present upon arrival in Kenya.
-
Check Validity: Ensure that your eTA is valid for the duration of your stay, as it typically allows for stays of up to 90 days.
